getting stressed already

by izabela

i don’t know how much i have already told you (not much knowing my lack of time, but i am sorry)

but i have decided that this year is my year, after all big changes from the beginning of the year

i am going with the flow and planning to participate in some huge events next year

and of course one huge this year and few smaller ones

let’s start from the most further one (which has been recommended to me by one of my talented friends met at old spitalfields market – Karolina the owner, designer and maker from Bobbin & Bow) – just planned at the moment, but already starting with application process to exhibit atΒ Pulse London trade show in Earls Court in may

already confirmed my place at Top Drawer trade show in Earls Court in January, so if you are there between 12th and 14th please come to my booth Y15 and say hello

this year my biggest event isΒ Country Living Magazine Christmas Show in Business Design Centre in Islington from 30th october till 3rd november and you are very welcome to visit my stand, i am taking part in this together with my friends from Craft Coop so this will be our big story πŸ™‚

that is not all folks, as for the first time i am taking part in Renegade Craft Fair in London on the 9th and 10th of november and i will be sharing a stall with Paper Moon

you can also find me with Designers Makers on the 16th november and 21st december at the Old Spitalfields Market for some winter shopping

and this coming weekend is all busy as for the third time i will be taking part in London Thames Festival at Bernie Spain Gardens together with We Make Londoners on Saturday and Sunday and i hope i see some of you there πŸ™‚

new triangular scarves

by izabela

I started making another scarf with triangular motifs and the first one isn’t really finished yet,

but this is me being over excited with the colors play πŸ™‚

whilst i think i know how the completed scarf will look at the beginning of the project

things come out differently sometimes and i need to look for a change in the plan

well this time i think i might need to add something on each end of the scarf to make it more special

if you have any ideas you would like to share, please do

i would love to hear them πŸ™‚

my shrug is in the magazine

by izabela

i so missed you and the real blogging thing

i can’t say much what is going on right now because it is all happening so fast

changing form day to day you would get bored if i shared that all ;D

but as i have some really exciting news to share (that should be blogged long time ago)

here it is all:

i have been asked if i don’t mind to appear in the wedding feature in the inside crochet magazine (of course i don’t mind, i would looooooove to πŸ˜€ ) i agreed and the magazine is out and i am sharing yesterday news, but still exciting to me…

my shrug featured in the magazine :)

and that is not all from my very exciting news to share with my best blogging friends and other readers

after meeting lovely Judith from Fringe gallery in london i now can say that you can buy my jewellery there and if you are anywhere near alexandra park road you have to go and visit this gallery, it is probably the nicest place to be, to buy beautiful yarns, fine cotton threads, vintage threads, buttons, trimmings, probably everything you need to keep your textile hobby going and definitely best place to be inspired by textile artists producing textile artwork and jewellery in such a unique way… and if that was not enough – you can also find variety of workshops that can help you learn some new craft techniques

and here you have the photo of the delicate crochet lace earrings in progress – same that can be found at the Fringe gallery

crochet shawl

by izabela

i thought i’d share the project i have started last night

new crochet shawl, perfect for milder cold, like spring, fall or cooler summer days

i am just finishing (still!) two puffs that i have started long time ago

but the cotton yarn i chose is quite heavy so i stop after couple of rows each time

and make something else instead…

anyway i had this beautiful cotton wool blend yarn n the drawer for ages

and decided to start a shawl made out of motifs

motifs are joined as i go to save myself sewing (sewing equals extra work to me so i try to avoid it whenever possible)

new crochet shawl

also i would like to interest you in new royal mail service that i am to try

and it designed to help smaller businesses grow

it is called simple ways to grow

it seems really easy to use so far, it also seems to me that it is quite affordable

and you pay monthly, but you can actually cancel at any time

so to make it more exciting i am gonna use it to invite people to see my jewellery being exhibited at norden farm arts centre

but about all of this soon πŸ™‚

have a look at this beautiful photo taken by me yesterday

when walking to maidenhead to work my shift at the craft coop shop

so dreamy…

and of course my campaign:

who would like to help me to get noticed

it doesn’t have to be big, you can send as little as a Β£1 or $1 and as much as you like

little progress with puffs

by izabela

i am just about to show you where the crochet puffs are at the moment, but be prepared because i didn’t get too far, some other things are being made at the same time and taking all my time – anyway this is a different story

the two puffs one lovely olive green and the other that supposed to be orange but there was no orange yarn in that yarn so i chose salmon, the photos are not showing the real color and it looks pink, but if you trust me you will believe me – it is salmon color

so here they are, i hope you all like them, if not sorry – next time i will try better

>MY WEEKEND…

by izabela

>time went quickly, too quickly…

but i taught my self to tat (as i just bought tatting shuttle) and it is so pretty little work, but really i don’t think i can be as good as i am in crochet – but i am definitely going to make something using this technique…

started a quick project from one of my Japanese books – bolero, this means more summer things to come πŸ™‚

and made two more granny squares…

and there came this time of a year when my lovely orchids start to have flowers, some of them stayed till now from last year, i just love when they are flowering and the chocolate one did not have flowers last year because i didnt water it enough but it has survived… unfortunately i killed my best one πŸ˜₯ which was recovered from a skip and had flowers every year (until last year) if you want you can have a look how lovely it was here
